Eagles for Children Helps Provide Wigs and Confidence to Michigan Children
Thanks to a generous $7,000 grant from Eagles for Children, Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan was able to provide wigs to seven Michigan children through its Adopt-a-Kid Program.
For children experiencing hair loss, receiving a wig can provide more than a new hairstyle. It can offer a sense of confidence, comfort, and the opportunity to feel more like themselves during a challenging time.
Through the Adopt-a-Kid Program, Eagles for Children’s grant directly supported wigs for seven children: Eva, Neevah, Brooke, Lea, Cullen, Maya, and Hayden. Each child received a personalized experience through Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids, with families also receiving resources and support throughout the process.
As part of the program, Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids provided Eagles for Children with personalized thank-you letters from the children, before-and-after photos, and certificates of appreciation to recognize the generosity that made their wigs possible.
The impact of the program extends beyond the wig itself. For a child experiencing hair loss, having the ability to choose and receive a wig can provide an important boost in confidence and help them feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan works to ensure that Michigan children experiencing hair loss have access to wigs and the support they need. Through programs like Adopt-a-Kid, generous community partners can directly help make these services available to children and families.
Eagles for Children’s $7,000 investment helped seven children receive wigs through the Adopt-a-Kid Program, providing each with something deeply personal: the opportunity to feel confident, comfortable, and like themselves.
Together, we are helping Michigan children face difficult moments with greater confidence and reminding them that their community is standing behind them … for the kids!
